At Sub-Zero Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Ltd, we are committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030 across our operations. This commitment supports both our environmental responsibilities and our role in building a more sustainable, low-carbon economy.

Our Commitments

We are reducing emissions across all key areas of our business:

Scope 1 – Direct emissions from our service vehicles and onsite fuel use
Scope 2 – Indirect emissions from electricity used in our office and storage facilities
Scope 3 – Indirect emissions including supply chain activity, refrigerant use, and business travel

Actions Already Taken

Implemented route optimisation software to reduce mileage and fuel consumption
Transitioned 25% of our vehicle fleet to hybrid models
Prioritised the use of low-GWP refrigerants and improved leak prevention measures
Upgraded offices with LED lighting and smart heating controls
Increased local sourcing to minimise transportation-related emissions

Roadmap to Net Zero

2025: Begin introducing fully electric vehicles across urban routes
2026: Adopt carbon tracking and reporting tools for improved Scope 3 visibility
2027: Switch all office locations to 100% renewable electricity
2028: Convert 50% of our vehicle fleet to fully electric
2029: Complete phase-out of high-GWP refrigerants in all systems
2030: Offset any residual emissions and reach Net Zero

Monitoring & Accountability

We are committed to transparency and will publish updates on our progress annually. This Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed and updated regularly in line with UK Government guidelines and carbon reporting standards.
